Hardwood Flooring
Hardwood is the floor everything else is compared to. Warm underfoot, beautiful in person, and the single flooring upgrade buyers notice. Our crews install solid and engineered hardwood across northern New Jersey — this is our specialty within a specialty.
Solid vs. Engineered Hardwood
Solid hardwood is one piece of wood, thick enough to sand and refinish multiple times over decades. Engineered hardwood is a real-wood top layer over a stable plywood core — it looks like solid hardwood but handles moisture and temperature swings better, so it can go places solid wood shouldn’t (below-grade rooms, over concrete with the right underlayment, wider temperature ranges).
Which one fits your home? That’s a ten-minute conversation during your free estimate. We’ll show you samples of both in your actual lighting and talk through what makes sense for how you live.
Site-Finished or Prefinished
- Site-finished (sand and finish in place): classic look with a perfectly flat, seamless surface
- Prefinished: factory finish, harder coating, no dust or odor in the house; installs and walks faster
What the Job Looks Like
- We measure and assess your subfloor — repairs or leveling get priced in writing up front
- Installation, sanding/finishing (if site-finished), and trim/baseboard transitions
- Final walkthrough — we don’t leave until you’re happy with every room
